Join SONG Power for the launch of our 2022 electoral campaigns in North Carolina & Georgia -- we're making Political Moves; join us to fight for the power our communities need & deserve to not just survive, but to thrive. Join us for a live webinar to launch SONG Power, a new sister organization advancing the power-building, organizing, and advocacy of Southerners on New Ground on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 from 6:30-8PM East/5:30-7PM Central. SONG Power equips justice-loving Southerners with another toolbox to bring about liberation in our lifetime. We build political power to push abolitionist policy demands, drastically expand our numbers, and contend directly for power across the South. In 2022, we plan to organize for community political power in small town and rural Black and brown counties in Georgia and North Carolina. As we enter into the 2022 election season, we face a political climate where the Rightwing's attacks on our people -- on queer people, trans people, immigrants, Black people, women and gender non-conforming people, poor people -- are only intensifying as they claim victories they have organized towards for the past forty years. In the South, our communities bear the brunt of the Rightwing’s policy experiments and in this time of high stakes and increasing despair, we will continue to fight, investing in long term community organizing to contend directly for political power in the South. |
