Have you been dreaming of the future where we are living Free From Fear, but need more skills to get your local SONG chapter/crew there? We’ve been hearing SONG members asking for dedicated site-unique skill-ups in order to launch, bolster, and continue campaigns and to have more skills for day-to-day community organizing. We have been listening! We’re holding SONG’s 2021 Squad Up, Skill Up, Slay: Organizing School throughout the summer, where we will bring some of the new energy, skill-sets, and facilitation and leadership styles that our members typically experience in our regional convening spaces. SONG staff will be traveling the South to provide in-person and virtual trainings to four lucky sites. Our goal is to meet the site-specific skill-up needs of chapters and crews who could use more support on:
Throughout July and August, four crews or chapters will be selected, where we will either gather entirely virtually or hold a half virtual and half in-person gathering with COVID-19 safe precautions taken.
